If it weren't for a place called Rockland Point and a place called Mar'anadap and people named Hamilton Forbes, Lescontis, Manny and Maria DeMello, a very special event may never have taken place. This event takes place in Rockland Point, Massachusetts, a peaceful seaside town. Peaceful, yes, to the casual observer. But there is a lot going on beneath the outward appearances of the place, both figuratively and literally. There are a couple of covert organizations that have a lot to do with that. They get together to produce an event that will make Rockland Point known to the world. Some happenings around town pique the curiosity of newspaperman Alex Bean, a skeptic. He gets seemingly logical explanations for things he sees and hears about. But he takes these explanations with the proverbial grain of salt. And just where is this guy Lescontis from?
