A Flower At The Barricades 1871 was the year of the Paris Commune. 20,000 were to die defending the revolutionary Paris at the barricades, and in the slow starvation of a city under siege. For beautiful Babette, artist's model, it was a time of a decision. It was the year her friends finally had to grow up. An uncontrollable affaire threatened all that Ned Carey held dear. American David Meade too was crossed in love, and political involvement tested his diplomacy beyond its limits.
