Anton and Dario, two 15 year olds, are immersed in the commercial activity of the port of Cartagena de Indias, one of the most important of the Colonial era. Anton is the son of the viceroy and a boy who is reflective, peaceful, timid and fearful of his distant father. His friend Dario, a young Cartagena mestizo, is restless, eager for adventure and who believes in divinatory powers. Together they lose themselves through the city. But this carefree routine will change when, in the spring of 1741, the British siege begins, which will lead to the bloody battle of Cartagena de Indias.
