Legends tell of silver eyed Tolians who, with the touch of a hand, possessed the gift of healing conflicts and ending wars. Time has faded such tales into myths, yarns woven by old men. The Tolians are extinct ... save one. The future appears bleak as worlds engage in endless hostilities; Earth is fearful of being drawn into conflict. Hope for a brighter tomorrow may survive in Eva Karlson, who, despite being half human, possesses the empathic healing skills of the lost Tolian species. An anxious earth is forced to send Eva, an untested novice, into the depths of space where dark forces plot for her destruction.
