It seemed to Ellie that no one else has trouble remembering things. So when tragedy happens due to her forgetting, she promises herself that she will never forget again. When that inner vow is made, she begins down a path of remembering the wrong things. Years go by and Ellie grows to be a strong, loving adult elephant that has a dark secret; she has never forgotten the rope on her leg that keeps her bound. Not until Nathan, an elderly, wise elephant comes into her life that her thinking is challenged and true freedom comes. Ellis learns a lesson in forgiveness, the power of inner vows and freedom.
