Debra Langford flees to Bamburra Island, off the Australian mainland, to recapture her artistic talents, following a painful broken romance. There she falls under the spell of the island's mysterious Luke Darcy, who appears to have no past and no family. Sorely tempted to trust a man about whom she knows almost nothing, she is forced to ignore what her heart tells her when she learns Luke has a visitor - a beautiful woman - and his past starts to catch up with him.
