The purpose of this manual is to provide guidance on the principles of maintenance, repair and conservation to the owners and occupiers of period houses, as well as their professional advisors. The manual covers a broad range of subjects and while it concentrates mainly on brick houses in Dublin, the principles set out can be applied equally to a wide variety of houses and buildings around the country.
