The historical method is well represented in many social science fields such as economics and sociology, yet remains underrepresented in strategic research. Although significant and important historical work has informed strategy, historical strategy resource can inform each other. The volume presents a collection of theoretical and methodological discussions about historical resource in the context of strategy, as well as history-infused studies of strategic issues. The scholars in this volume represent a mix of historians interested in management questions as well as strategy researchers sympathetic to the historical method.
