Teresa Noncire was a successful fantasy writer, traveling the country promoting her books. Not long after her husband's death Tess fell ill with a strange and potentially deadly virus. She somehow manages to find her way to the hidden retreat of the Sisterhood of the Celestial Blade Warriors where she is nursed back to health and trained in the martial arts they use to fight demons.
