the long version

Teresa Noncire was a successful fantasy writer, traveling the country promoting her books. Not long after her husband's death Tess fell ill with a strange and potentially deadly virus. She somehow manages to find her way to the hidden retreat of the Sisterhood of the Celestial Blade Warriors where she is nursed back to health and trained in the martial arts they use to fight demons. Tess is partnered with an imp named Scrap and together they must face a ferocious hound targeting Native American children. Two other men are also after the hound and a missing Native American girl. Would an old Native American myth prove the keyto salvation or to the end of life on Earth?
