The first section contains source listings. Each listing gives address, phone number, contact, and, in most cases, a brief description of activities and pertinent information. Listings are arranged either alphabetically or alpha-geographically. The second section is solely Canadian listings. The third section of the book is a bibliography of approximately 10,000 in-print books. A publisher's index is provided at the end giving the publishers' addresses and phone numbers. The fourth section contains approximately 3,000 listings of which there are more than 1,500 biographical sketches of prominent Native Americans involved in Indian Affairs, education, healthcare, business, the arts and professions, as well as non-Indians active in Indian affairs, history, art, anthropology, archaeology, etc., and the many fields to which the subject of the American Indian is related.
