"To evaluate mineral resources that may occur in the study areas, U.S. Bureau of Mines (USBM) investigated various sources of minerals information. Published literature and USBM files were reviewed; and claimants, prospectors, mine operators, and others having knowledge of mineral occurrences were interviewed to document areas of mineralization and mining activity.
