Note: In 1961 I took a class, "Archaeology of the Middle East" from Professor Owen in Colorado Springs -- and ended up typing a good portion of the manuscript for this book as a favor to him. At one point I became so engrossed in the text I typed right on and off the end of the page -- which fell to the floor and had to be re-typed! I just recently discovered a copy of the book in our church library and find it as enjoyable and as well written as when I worked on it!
