Tanner's old school chum Seth Hartman made a lot of enemies in the '60s, when he fought for civil rights in the South. Now, 25 years later, a white supremacist group has targeted Hartman for death. And, by the light of a burning cross, Tanner must penetrate Charleston's elite, looking for answers.
