Sam and the Sheriff

When Sheriff Ned Garman's horse is held up, he doesn't even have to look behind him to know that the rifle pointing straight at him is being held by his nemesis: Milo. And even worse than the damage to his pride is the knowledge that he is about to die just days before his wedding. But Sheriff Garman hasn't totally given up hope; even if his only chance of survival lies with a shaggy dog named Sam, who is nowhere to be seen.
