This is a memoir about the Russian TV political show "Vzgliad" (The View) with the highest rating in the history of public television with more than 20 million viewers. The show started in 1987 and played a crucial role in the democratization of the country in the period called perestroika. Among the journalists who organized and hosted this show were Vlad List'ev (d. 1995), Sergei Lomakin, Anatolii Lysenko, Vladimir Mukusev, Aleksandr Liubimov, Aleksandr Politkovskii, Oleg Vakulovskii, Dmitrii Zakharov, etc. Twenty years after the Kremlin closed this show, a well known journalist Evgenii Dodolev interviewed the team of this show.
