Amateur Winemaker Recipes

Since its launching in 1957, the monthly magazine, "The Amateur Winemaker," has published hundreds of excellent recipes for wines which the enthusiast can make at home. Many of these have been republished in two previous books in this series, "First Steps in Winemaking" and "130 New Winemaking Recipes". These have proved so popular that "First Steps" has now sold well over 1 3/4 million copies and "130 New Winemaking Recipes" over 319,000. "Amateur Winemaker" recipes are as popular as ever and there was such a demand from readers that those of the last few years should be published in more permanent form that they were collected into this book "Amateur Winemaker Recipes", the first edition of which sold over 218,000 copies. This new, updated and enlarged edition is equally in demand. Here you will find a wide range of recipes for wines from fresh fruit, dried fruit, and herbs, and for many unusual and exciting blends. Many of these more intriguing combinations were originally devised by Cyril Shave, of Birmingham. There is a particularly useful section on liqueurs, punches and mulls for winter making.
