Released after twenty-three years of imprisonment, he told how the words of the prophet Micah had sustained him: 'But as for me, I keep watch for the Lord, I wait in hope for God my Saviour; my God will hear me.'" This autobiographical material, covering the first 50 years of Wong Ming-Dao's life was collected from various sources, edited and translated into English by Arthur Reynolds, a CIM missionary in China from 1933 to 1951.
