Walt Disney World Railroads Part 1 Fort Wilderness Railroad

the long version

Take a ride on the Fort Wilderness Railroad at Walt Disney World! This is the story of the creation, operation, and engineering of this unique railroad that ran from 1973 to 1980 in the Fort Wilderness Campground and Resort. More than that it is the story of the people who brought it to life, both the guests and cast members. Introducing this story is a short subject on Walt Disney's love of railroading and some of his inspirations. Introductions to four of the Walt Disney World railroads follow with bird's eye view posters. The supplement to this volume is the "Fort Wilderness Railroad Gallery Companion". This supplement contains the pictorial galleries for this story. So, come along with me as we explore and re-live the steam train through the forest wilderness....
