the long version

When the NSDAP in 1933 took power in Germany, and the daily lives of children through the use intended by National Socialism transformation of society was strongly influenced. Children had to learn how to 'properly greet their friends', or they could be terminated or affected by the racist policies of National Socialism. Policies and events were topics of conversation in the family circle, which could lead to conflict. 'Politics' were thus in the daily lives of the children, albeit in varying degrees of intensity. Heidi Rosenbaum studied in their large-scale study based on numerous eyewitness interviews, the everyday lives of children in four environments: the upper middle class of a university town, the workers of a small town, a Protestant and a Catholic village in Lower Saxony. They can show that ruptures and continuities shaped differently in the everyday life of children.
