The blood carnelian

Red was the color of Donica Vyne's hair, the color of the jewel her princely admirer wore, and the color of the blood spilled in the pursuit of violence. When Donica's father died she expected to become responsible for her younger brother and sister. She did not expect to lose them to the dubious guardianship of her father's dissolute brother-in-law. Donica must now follow a trail of blood from Devon to Geneva to Paris in daring pursuit of unknown kidnappers and assassins.
