Sobre o livro

"In recent years work on what may broadly be described as 'behavioural economics' has expanded rapidly, and is now attracting the attention of leading figures in economics (such as Kenneth J. Arrow). A major difficulty facing behavioural economics, however, is that much of the work concentrates on particular aspects of individual or aggregate behaviour, and is not integrated in a way which enables the different parts to be related to the whole. The author attempts to construct a unified framework which not only relates the behavioural variables to one another but also integrates them with customary economic variables. The result is an improved understanding of individual and aggregate behaviour, and the prospect of improved predictions." "The book will be of interest to a wide range of social scientists, both students and experienced practitioners. Those in business and anyone wishing simply to obtain a better understanding of how society functions will also find much of interest."--BOOK JACKET.
