The barrens

Matt McBride is haunted by the death of a young woman he knew at junior high. Years later, another murder occurs and Matt finds himself obsessed by feelings of guilt about the death, without obvious reasons. But the attention he brings to himself may draw attention away from another tortured soul, and bring things to a shattering confrontation.
