The author gives us a raw, true, sometimes chilling portrait of Mexico City. Rather, a part of it: poverty. During the day, Fernando is a wealthy executive who works in one of the most elite neighborhoods of Mexico City. At night, he hunts the plague that he can't stand, that disgusts him, that gives him reasons to satiate his pleasure: killing the poor.
