Segundas Celestinas

This volume contains 3 continuations of the Tragicomedia de Calisto y Melibea (La Celestina), widely considered one the greatest works of Spanish literature. The term "Celestina" was coined by Melendez Pelayo in a study on imitations of La Celestina. It is not surprising that throughout the sixteenth century other authors deliberately imitated the work of Rojas, continuing the characters' arguments and returning to the scene.
