Los Angeles, 2024: Private Eye Billy Blackburn's got problems. His reputation's circling the drain, sobriety's a distant memory and employment prospects are looking slim. Good thing L.A.'s foremost real estate tycoon, Timothy Torchsong, has problems of his own, and needs a guy no one's watching to make them go away. It was supposed to be simple, but it's the simple things that always get the messiest, and before he knows it Billy Blackburn will find himself butting heads with one serious femme fatale, a power-geek bent on revenge, a sociopathic heiress, a deranged and failed actor/model/singer/dancer, and a guy who brings new meaning to the phrase 'swimming with sharks'. Might seem like a lot, but for Blackburn and his partner Knuckles, it's just another day in Sunny CA.
