"The Watergate cover-up polarized the nation and forced Richard Nixon out of the White House. This unprecedented event was a watershed in American history: a President reelected by a huge majority had to resigned in disgrace, several presidential aides went to prison, the Republican Party was discredited and weakened, the country was torn apart, and perhaps most important, the credibility of all subsequent Presidents, and indeed of government itself, was impeached in the eyes of many. Intimately involved in these events as trusted friend, advisor, and confidant of Nixon was Rabbi Baruch Korff, dubbed 'Nixon's rabbi' in the news media. In 1973, Korff founded the National Citizens' Committee for Fairness to the Presidency. The following year he founded the President Nixon Justice Fund and the United States Citizens' Congress. He became a member of the inner circle at the White House and remained close to Nixon after he left office." - Publisher
