The inclusive classroom

This book provides an overview of information related to teaching students in today's classrooms, with particular emphasis on the concept of inclusive education. Inclusive education refers to the merging of regular and special education into a unified educational system, in order to meet the diverse needs of all students. Presents ideas and practices that address the realities of Canada's present educational environment, while at the same time guiding the reader toward a consideration of emerging themes and practices. Emphasizes a more transactional view of learning and instruction, namely, the view that the teaching-learning process centrally involves the teacher and the learner.
