High school student Charlie West awakens bloody and bruised in a concrete bunker, only to discover that he has lost a year of his life and remembers nothing about escaping from prison after being convicted of murdering his former best friend, or why he is being pursued by both the law and a group of terrorists trying to bring down the government of the United States. Charlie West wakes up confused. He's in a cinder-block cell, strapped to a chair and covered in cuts, bruises and burns. The last thing he remembers is falling asleep in his own comfortable room, so how did he get here, how much time has passed and how is he going to escape from the voices on the other side of the door who have just ordered his death?
