the long version
Myth Drannor the Magnificent, City of Song, has fallen. Shining memories of its great glory survive like gleaming shards of beautiful stained glass--shattered fragments of something that can never be put back together again. As bards sing of what has been lost, fiends stalk its dark ruins, rending and devouring those dreamers foolish enough to journey back to the lost city in hopes of salvage--or rebirth. From a dark and dusty tomb, Elminster emerges, seeking the guidance of Mystra, and finds only silence. He is drawn into the clutches of the mysterious and sinister Lady of Shadows. The path he takes will lead to a Realms-shaking confrontation where Elminster has to make the most important choice of his long life. Whatever he decides, the Realms will be forever changed.
