Tom Richards becomes quite successful. But he finds out along the way that there is a dark and ugly side to the mortgage business. He gets involved with all sorts of unscrupulous characters, which creates numerous conflicts for him. The biggest of which are-Is he becoming like the person he despises most? Is he, along with the rest of the mortgage cowboys responsible for crippling the entire financial system?
