Developing multicultural awareness through children's literature

A bibliography of realistic/contemporary fiction, folk literature, historical fiction, and biographies for grades K-8 containing accurate and respectful images of individuals of African, Asian, European, Latino, and Native American heritage. Each entry includes an activity designed to help children develop positive views of people from different cultures and recognize harmful cultural stereotypes in the behavior of others.
