The people's road

Tells the story of the author's month-long trek across the island of Newfoundland on the 900 km abandoned railbed from Port aux Basque in the west to St. John's in the east. In the 250 page book the author recounts the stories of many interesting characters he meets along the way interspersed with vivid descriptions of of the unfolding landscape and musings on various issues related to the preservation of this historic route through the interior.
