Popular radio talk-show host Lisa Crandall Graham is shocked by the ghoulish birthday message from an anonymous caller that comes only a few weeks after the sudden death of her husband. The call touches off a series of terrifying events in Lisa’s life and wreaks havoc at the San Francisco radio station. The recent arrival of Ross Avery, the autocratic hew station manager. does little to alleviate the suspicion and fear.
