Perspectives in Turbulence Studies

The present volume is dedicated to Dr.-Ing. E.h. Julius C. Rotta on the occasion of his 75th birthday. It contains a collection of carefully selected research papers by outstanding international experts in the field of turbulence studies. The main subjects are: boundary layer transition, especially in three-dimensional flows; coherent structures in turbulent shear flows; and three-dimensional turbulent boundary layers - theory, experiment and industrial applications.
