the long version
"Well, here I am . . . but what I'm going to do next, I'm blessed if I know!" - Susan Tyndal, with her usual impetuosity, found herself in a situation which was to tax all her native wit and pluck when she answered the seemingly innocent advertisement to help in the converting of a country home into a guest house for anglers. Things began to happen with a vengeance when Susan commenced operations by dismissing the surly housekeeper and her husband, who clearly had some sort of a hold over their gentle, timid employer Miss Primmer. Together with her friend and abettor, Patricia Agnew, Susan was to find romance, excitement and near-tragedy before solving the mystery which surrounded Round-about House.
