Far cry

While on a camping holiday in Cornwall with her best friend, Heather Pierce goes missing and is found dead in a mine several days later. With no other evidence and only suspicions of foul play, her death is ruled accidental. Years later, Heather's mother has remarried, and her daughter from her second marriage nearly the same age as Heather goes missing. Is it a coincidence or is there a connection?
