As a Marine Corps legal officer, the author presents his personal narrative detailing his Vietnam tour in which he had dual roles. One of as a legal officer charged, at various times, with the task of both defending and prosecuting servicemen; and secondly, at the same time, leading combat patrols in "search and destroy" missions against the Viet Cong.
