Room service

This play is a classic farce set in room 920 of the White Way Hotel in New York in 1937. The drama involves a room-service waiter, a bill-plagued producer, a hotel hovering financially on the brink, a real play, a fake suicide, and a dizzying parade of actors and characters all of whom seem to have financial issues. Not surprisingly, this play opened on Broadway in 1937, shortly after the Great Depression.
