Edmund Duffy (1899-1962) was awarded three Pulitzer prizes for editorial cartooning and his career spanned five of the most tumultuous decades in American history. His early work appeared in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle and the worker-owned New York Leader. Beginning in 1924 and for the next quarter-century. Duffy was cartoonist for the Baltimore Sun, one of America's finest newspapers, where he won Pulitzers in 1931, 1934, and 1940.
