Jem has a unique ability. When she meets someone and looks into their eyes, a number appears. The number is the date of that person’s death. She‘s had this precognition since she was a child. The burden of this secret knowledge keeps her from forming bonds, that is until she meets Spider, who seems to have only a short time left to live. During a trip to the city with Spider, Jem sees something horrific: everybody’s number is flashing today’s date. Terrorists plan to attack London! Shortly after fleeing the scene, the London Eye is blown up. Police are looking for the teens who were seen escaping. Fearing for their lives and their freedom, Jem and Spider become fugitives across the English countryside. With police closing in - and with Spider‘s own looming death - Jem must face a harsh reality.
