Dobryni͡a Nikitich i zmeĭ Gorynych

The royal courier Eliseĭ seeks the help of the legendary hero Dobryni͡a Nikitich in rescuing his love, Zabava, daughter of his boss, the Kievan Prince Vladimir. Zabava refused an arranged marriage to a German prince, but now the greedy merchant Kolyvan is demanding her hand in marriage as repayment for the Prince's debts to him. An apparent kidnapping by the dragon Gorynych is arranged by Kolyvan to frighten the princess into submission. Even the witch Baba I͡Aga gets in on the action. But with the hero's help the matter is sorted out. Zabava is saved from the dragon, witch, and evil merchant, and is reunited with Eliseĭ.
