Melissa Moon had a feeling her kindly employer's decision to sell off his veterinary practice to a rich property company had something to do with his son Gareth Tremaine. Why else, after years of trotting round the southern hemisphere, had Gareth decided to come back? He didn't waste any time sifting through his father's finances with a fine-tooth comb either!
