The mystery man rode into town the day that they buried Big Al McCord. Some people suspected he was 'Dan McCord', a runaway kid returning after twenty years - and out for vengeance. His arrival shook the townsfolk, bringing turmoil and gunsmoke to the rangeland, panicking the corrupt officials and folk with a bad conscience.
