From safe and sophisticated Boston to the rough-and-tumble mining town of Wallace in Idaho Territory, Leora Brown's life takes a tumultuous turn. Her minister father moved his family out west following the call of God in the spring of 1890. It turns out to be a very different world in which one must cling to God due to frequent tragedy or reject Him for the same reason. Can Leora find love in a land of such coarseness? Can her faith survive in the Idaho "wilderness."
