Sword of valor

The Black Sabre series, detailing the huge contributions that African Americans have made to the military throughout American history, concludes with Sword of Valor. Five generations of the Sharps family have fought on America's front lines. The first woman to join their ranks is West Point graduate Lieutenant Argonne Sharps, a helicopter pilot with the famous 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles." From the invasion of Kuwait by the Iraqi Republican Guard, to the victorious culmination on "The Highway of Death" in the ground campaign, the meticulous preparation for war is seen from the 1st Brigade's deployment to the last shot fired.
