When Tessa unexpectedly loses her job, she tries to console herself by impulsively going on holiday to Spain, hoping that a sun-soaked, restful break will help her face the future. But instead she finds herself involved in the affairs of Tom, an Englishman who has settled in the country, and two children who have apparently been abandoned by their father.
