Bede Griffiths, an English Benedictine monk, devoted his life to relating the two great religious traditions of Christianity and Hinduism. In developing his theology of a Christian Vedanta--a collaboration of science, mysticism, and faith--he created an interspiritual model for how all religious traditions can benefit from one another's beauty, depth, and richness. In this study of Bede Griffiths's contemplative experience and thought, Wayne Teasdale, a longtime personal friend and student of Griffiths, provides an intriguing view into the beliefs and life of this champion of interreligious acceptance and harmony.
