John R. L. Allen

John Robert Lawrence Allen, FRS, FSA (25 October 1932 - 18 October 2020) was a British geologist who made substantial contributions to sedimentology[1] and archeology.[2] He took a 1st class degree in geology at the University of Sheffield in 1955 and then proceeded to research for a PhD.
