**Ricardo Lancaster-Jones y Verea**, MA, BE, KHS, was a Mexican historian, diplomat, scholar, professor, art collector and sugarcane entrepreneur who made significant contributions toward the study of the haciendas of the State of Jalisco (Mexico) in the twentieth century.
