For 18 consecutive days in 2010, Gregg Palazzolo, designer, and Robert Neumann, photographer, invited the public attending ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, Michigan to pose for their portraits in a trailer parked next to the Grand Rapids Art Museum. More than 40,000 people showed up to be photographed. The portraits that were made not only capture a moment in time for each participant, but also represent a social experiment in which each became part of something bigger than themselves--ArtPrize itself.
